RSquared IT Technologies is an engineering practice in Sandton, Johannesburg, working with organisations whose infrastructure cannot afford guesswork.
The Practice
Engineering first, every time.
We were founded on a straightforward observation: most infrastructure problems are not caused by bad products, they are caused by undocumented decisions.
Engagements are run by the engineers who stay on the account afterwards. We document what we build, train the people who inherit it and hold ourselves to the numbers published on this site. When a recommendation costs less than what you expected to spend, we say so. When a request would make the estate harder to run, we say that too.
That approach suits organisations carrying real operational risk: multi-site networks, regulated data and estates that have grown faster than the documentation describing them. We work across Gauteng and remotely for clients elsewhere in South Africa.
Infrastructure should be treated as code, security should be proactive rather than reactive and every deployment should be validated before it touches production.

Security by default
Segmentation, least privilege and logging are part of the original design rather than a later hardening exercise.

Vendor independence
Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik, Aruba, AWS, Azure. We recommend what fits the requirement and the budget, not what carries a margin.

Transparent reporting
You see what we find, including the parts that are inconvenient. Assessments are shared in full, not summarised into comfort.

Continuous improvement
Monitoring, benchmarking and compliance checks run continuously, so the estate is measured between projects and not only during them.

Knowledge transfer
Administrator training and complete documentation ship with the work. Your team should be able to run what we deploy without us.
